Flower Bouquets and Senior Pictures

The beauty of adding flower bouquets to senior sessions is one of my favorite props. No matter what time of the year, a bouquet adds a touch of elegance and personality.

High School or college senior year is one of the most anticipated moments for seniors. Their senior images are more than just pictures, they represent the culmination of years of hard work, growth, and the start of a new exciting chapter in their life. The addition of a flower bouquet is one way to elevate your photos and add a truly unique touch, and it's my way of sharing your excitement and celebrating this milestone with you.

Whether you're aiming for a traditional, whimsical, or bold look, a bouquet can add the perfect touch of personality and elegance to an image.

Flower bouquets are part of the Meadow View Photography Senior Session experience. It is my gift to MVP seniors to say thank you and congratulations. Before a session, I will shop locally and purchase a flower bouquet that matches the colors of the season, the outfits chosen, and the vibe of the session. It's so much fun.

Sharing some of my favorite memories and photographs with bouquets and tips to consider when using flower bouquets in your session.

Here are some things to consider when choosing the flowers to compliment your senior photos:

1. Matching your bouquet to your outfit.

Think about the colors of your outfit and the style of your outfits. For example, is your style soft, romantic, or bolder?

2. Choose flowers with symbolic meaning.

Flowers are associated with various meanings and emotions. For example, roses are associated with love and beauty, sunflowers symbolize happiness and positivity, and daisies signify innocence and a new beginning.

3. Consider the time of year/season.

Choosing flowers that are in season not only ensures that they will be fresh and beautiful but it will also add a seasonal theme to your photos.  A florist can assist you with deciding on what might look best.

4. Wildflower bouquet vs traditional bouquet

Wildflower bouquets offer a natural, free-spirited vibe and may be the perfect choice for you. These bouquets are a mix of flowers and greenery that give an effortless look. This style fits nicely with outdoor shoots in flower fields and natural settings.

5. Using flowers as accessories.

Holding the bouquet, using it as a floral crown, single stems, or even scattering the petals are ways to add interest to your images.

6. Purchasing at a florist or DIY your bouquet.

You can purchase your bouquet from a florist or DIY your bouquet for pictures. One of my favorites is a senior who brought a bouquet that their neighbor cut them from their flower garden. For years to come when they see the bouquet the memory of their sweet neighbor will come to mind.
