Oh my goodness! This was the perfect way to start the 2024 senior photography season in Hershey, PA. 

Photography Consultation and Planning

For senior photography sessions, we have a consultation session to discuss outfits, locations, and all the fun details. Katie shared that she wanted to capture photos that expressed her love of dance and natural photos in a field of flowers. She shared her wish for fun, uplifting, and light-hearted photos. From this first consultation, I knew we were going to have so much fun. We decided on three locations and scheduled two different days for her sessions. That would allow us to focus one entire session on dance and one session on the flowers and fields of wheat.  

Hershey Theatre Photography Location

Katie's first session was at the Hershey Theatre, which holds a special place in her heart. The theatre is where Katie has been performing with The Hershey School of Dance. As soon as we started the session you could see Katie's love of dance and her graceful style shines through in every photo. She chose a black floral dress that had the perfect flow and delicateness of the skirt. The contrast of the black dress against the cream color of the stone walls at the theatre was perfect. Katie, I hope you never stop dancing because the joy it brings you is apparent in your eyes and smile. 

Country JoyFlower Farm Photography Location

For the second session, we first met at a field of wheat and took beautiful photos as the sun was getting close to that golden hour. We then headed to Joy Country Flower Farm which if you haven't visited, I encourage you to add to your list. The rows and rows of flowers are beautiful and the perfect backdrop to let Katie's sweet personality and beauty shine. This location checked the box on many of Katie's wishes for her senior photos, there is a greenhouse, vintage truck, barns, fields, flowers, and a greenhouse of eucalyptus. We had so much fun and even had the opportunity to capture that precious mother-daughter photo.
